01
The problem
Most clothing returns happen because the garment did not look the way the customer expected. Every one of those returns is a shipment in both directions and, often, a product that never gets resold.
02
The approach
A React Native app built with Expo where a user uploads a photo once and previews garments against it before adding them to a cart. Supabase handles auth, the product catalog, and image storage, and Stripe handles checkout inside the app.
03
The decision that mattered
Generated previews are slow and expensive, so treating them as a live request per garment was never going to hold up. Previews are generated once per user-garment pair and cached, so browsing a catalog reads from storage instead of re-running generation on every tap.
04
Where it landed
Currently in development. The core try-on flow and catalog are working; checkout and the recommendation pass are still in progress.
