01
The problem
Starting a new software project with coding agents like Cursor or Windsurf requires extensive upfront context: tech stack selection, architecture decisions, database models, and consistent coding guidelines. Writing this agent context manually is time-consuming and often fragmented, leading to hallucinations, wrong architectural patterns, and wasted developer hours.
02
The approach
I built a 5-stage planner wizard that guides developers from an unstructured idea to an export-ready codebase specification. Users refine their concept through a clarifying AI conversation, select and customize an opinionated tech stack, visualize dependencies on an interactive React Flow canvas, preview sandboxed Tailwind UI drafts, and export a ready-to-use coding agent bundle with AGENTS.md and six targeted context files.
03
The decision that mattered
LLM generation speeds can make multi-artifact planning feel sluggish or fragile if processed in a single massive prompt. I decomposed the planning pipeline into isolated, deterministic generation steps backed by Groq for high-throughput streaming and strict JSON schema validation. For database reliability, I separated the runtime pooled connection on port 6543 from direct migration access on port 5432, preventing connection exhaustion during heavy agent runs.
04
Where it landed
Developers can go from a one-sentence product idea to a fully articulated architectural specification and downloadable agent pack in under two minutes, eliminating blank-canvas fatigue and giving autonomous coding agents the precise constraints they need to succeed.
